GPSPro is preventing my computer (Win11) from going to sleep after the screensaver starts.
I’ve tried both versions (DX and GL v9.0.9). Windows standard screensavers work fine.
GPSPro Preventing Sleep
Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep
Hello,
gPhotoShow never prevents the system from going to sleep however this happens if gPhotoShow plays video files. This is normal because all video players prevent the system from going to sleep.
There is an easy solution, just install the plugin MonitorOnOff and configure it.

Thanks, I'll give it a try!
Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep
Hi Gianpaolo. I tried out the extension but it doesn't do anything. I have gone into gPhotoShow and turned the extension on. I set the plugin to go to standby after 1 hr but the computer stays on. See screenshot.

Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep
If the plugin is enabled and configured it should work. Of course it will go to standby only when gPhotoShow is running and at least one hour elapsed.
It is also possible windows refuses to obey to gPhotoShow request for standby.
I can't guess what happens without an extended log from gPhotoShow.

Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep
I just enabled extended logging. I will let it run now for a few hours and look at the results and post them. I have gPhotoShow to start at 3 min. (which it does). After that it will run all day even with the plug-in. Let's see what the log says.

Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep
There are no traces from the plugin in the log. It seems the plugin was not enabled or the timeout was not reached.
Since this plugin never had problems there are traces only when it triggers standby/monitor off.
Are 100% sure the plugin is enabled and configured with 1 hour timeout ? Try with shorter time or try with the other option, switch off at a specified time.

Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep
Okay, I have some info for you.
The plug-in works if I set the switch off time to be anything in the minutes column (00:59). If I set the time to be anything in the hour column then it does not work (1:00).
It does not matter if it's standby or monitor off. Both act the same.

Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep
Thanks for the test, I found the issue and fixed in v2.1.3
