The "Waiting Authorization" window closes only when the browser starts the custom url passed by google authorization process.
I tested the whole process with Firefox and Microsoft Edge and worked fine, as in case of WallpaperSS I would suggest to set temporarily Microsoft Edge ad default browser and try with that browser

The new version works fine!
