After replacing my monitor, which has a maximum frequency of 165hz (Samsung Odyssey G3), when changing the image I have flickering, which I stop having if I go down to 60hz (like on my previous monitor, where that effect is not reproduced).
Is it currently possible to solve this?

Wallpaper change animation is performed by windows, in Wallpaper Slideshow you can only enable or disable "Smooth wallpaper change". When that option is enabled windows performs the animation, when disabled wallpaper is changed without animation.
Anyway I have a 144hz monitor and I don't see any issue, it is also possible the problem is related to display adapter drivers.

I was able to solve it. I'm going to leave an update for anyone who has this same problem:
In my case, having an nVIDIA 3070RTX GPU and a 165hz monitor with AMD FreeSync, it was necessary to activate G-Sync compatibility in the nVIDIA Control Panel and lower the frequency to 144hz (also activating FreeSync on the monitor itself).

Going down from 165hz to 144hz is imperceptible in games (at least for me), otherwise the flickering effect will only be reduced and not completely eliminated when changing wallpapers.
