I just upgraded from 7 to 8.0.6 and went to install the 64bit version. Immediately the install crashes and I get stuck in a loop of crash window messages (see pic).

I think SearchUI.exe is part of Microsoft Cortana, has nothing to do with gPhotoShow. Error 0xc0000142 means a DLL (dynamic load library) failed to initialize, this could be due to temporary cause (and a restart can fix it) or to a corrupted/missing file in this case you should try to perform a repair using SFC and DISM
