Filtering folders/files for specific monitors

Post by paul1965 »

I'm experimenting with using filters for the first time, so I can have specific folders and their images displayed on separate monitors. However, I'm not able to get it to work as I expect. I have 2 folders: NatureSS and WaterSS. Each folder contains files with respective prefix's "Nature-" and "Water-". In GPS, I have a filter for monitor one set to exclude "All" with keywords "Contain (all)" then "Water-". For monitor 2, it's set to exclude "All" with keywords "Contain (all)", then "Nature-". When I run the preview, I see a mix of both images on both monitors, instead of just "Nature-" on one and "Water-" on two. I've tried variations on the keyword settings with no luck, and if I set it to explicitly "Include" instead, I get a blank screen. What am I doing wrong?

I would configure Filters as displayed in this screen shot.

If your images are named like "water-anythingelse.jpg" you must use "water" as keyword and make sure the separator field include char -
The separator is never included in keywords

Including the "-" seems to have been my mistake. I set up the filters as you suggested and it seems to be working great. Thanks!
