Monitors not sleeping

Hi,

I have had a report of monitors not going to sleep when the screensaver has been active, screensaver kicks in after 30 minutes, monitors go to sleep after 60 minutes both settings configured via Group Policy. The saver was created as a standalone SCR file.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Barry

If the screen saver plays video then it's normal. Any video player disables windows power saving while it's playing video. In this case you could use the gPhotoShow plugin Monitor On/off it works regardless of the windows power management settings.

Hi G,

thanks for the reply, there is no video it is a slide show, however I came in this morning and my monitors were asleep. I will continue to monitor (no pun intended  ) and may look to use the plug in you have suggested if it is more widespread.

Thanks again for the prompt and helpful advice it is appreciated.
