Heavy disk usage

Post by joelbartley »

Hi, I have been noticing a slowdown on my PC lately, and I have narrowed it down to heavy disk usage coming from Wallpaper Slideshow Pro. In Resource Manager, around 200,000 b/s is being written to the file C:\Users\Joel and Lisa\AppData\Roaming\WallpaperSSPro\Wallpaper.bmp by the System process. This happens constantly, regardless of whether the wallpaper is being changed currently or not. If I quit Wallpaper Slideshow Pro, this disk access goes away.

Any idea how I can fix this?

Hello,
that file is the wallpaper created by WallpaperSS Pro, if it is being written it means WallpaperSS creates a new wallpaper. Increase wallpaper change time in WallpaperSS settings window and it will slow down.
