Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep

There are no traces from the plugin in the log. It seems the plugin was not enabled or the timeout was not reached. Since this plugin never had problems there are traces only when it triggers standby/monitor off. Are 100% sure the plugin is enabled and configured with 1 hour timeout ? Try with short...

Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep

If the plugin is enabled and configured it should work. Of course it will go to standby only when gPhotoShow is running and at least one hour elapsed.
It is also possible windows refuses to obey to gPhotoShow request for standby.
I can't guess what happens without an extended log from gPhotoShow.

Re: Exe and Scr works with plugins ?

Hello,
thank you very much for your feedback
unfortunately standalone screen savers can only display images embedded inside the executable. They can't display images downloaded from the web or stored on the computer where they are installed.
This is a design choice and will not change in future.

Re: GPSPro Preventing Sleep

Hello,
gPhotoShow never prevents the system from going to sleep however this happens if gPhotoShow plays video files. This is normal because all video players prevent the system from going to sleep.
There is an easy solution, just install the plugin MonitorOnOff and configure it.

Re: File in Use

You cannot replace or delete files while they are in use by another program. The typical solution in these cases is to implement a retry mechanism, when the file cannot be replaced or deleted because it is in use, wait some time and try again. Wait time could be somewhere from 100ms to 1 second. A f...

Re: File in Use

Hello,
I am not sure I understood your question, what is in use ? Image files ? The directory where images are stored ?
In any case gPhotoShow opens files when it loads something then files are closed, they normally stay open just the time needed to read and decode the image.

Re: Can DO? or Feature Request

gPhotoShow has a system for extracting substrings from metadata, however it is quite limited and is the same for all images. For example: [File.Name,,8] displays the first 8 characters from file name. Unfortunately there is no way to remove the last x characters or just remove any digit. For this ne...

Re: Can DO? or Feature Request

Hello,
Unfortunately what you ask is not feasible. gPhotoShow has a single description that applies to all images
Because of the way the program is designed, it is also difficult to implement something like this

Re: VLC Random Back

Unfortunately no, there is no way. gPhotoShow doesn't record the position inside the video. Every time it plays a video it calculates a new position.
