Re: #25 in the FAQ

It should work exactly as describedin the FAQ, I tested version 5.2.2 few minutes ago. It doesn't matter where the .glst file is placed provided gPhotoShow finds it. One important thing is to avoid to add to the images list any folder containing images, you should create a folder with only the .glst...

Re: Suggestions & a thing or two

My screensaver used to crash often until I renamed the extensions of the bad video files. So I cannot say that I had repeats during the same screensaver run. But whenever the screensaver restarted, the same files would repeat pretty quickly & often. Until I enabled the option to save the file list....

Re: My Wish List

Another thought - when deleting a picture, often it won't confirm until a different picture is displaying. So could you implement, in order to avoid worry & confusion, having it show the filename & a small thumbnail of what was deleted? Also, if the delete key was pressed during a transition, can t...

Re: Suggestions & a thing or two

Hello gpb, thanks for the reply. I did have some sub folders containing smaller jpeg files for emailing and uploading... I have deleted all those, so should have no duplicates at all now. i am a photographer, so I would not get confused between photos that "look similar" they all look very differen...

Re: Occasional crash

Well so far no crashes at all when running just pictures or just pictures & music. As soon as I re-enabled videos, the screensaver crashed in less than an hour. Since I work as a computer tech, I peeked at the log file. I assume you mean the one created in users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\GPhotoSho...

Re: Suggestions & a thing or two

Hi, interesting, but I think that calculation is based on each subsequent image being randomly selected from the WHOLE library. The reply I got above stated that it is impossible for you to see the same image twice before you have seen ALL the other images... I have very strong doubts that this is ...

Re: Suggestions & a thing or two

Now, just to give some perspective, here's some math. Note that I am not a mathematician but I always did well in math at school & to this day continue to calculate stats & possibilities in many life situations just for fun, so I should be able to offer some insight. :) If you run the screensaver o...

Re: My Wish List

1. Add an option that restricts the screensaver so that only 1 video is displayed at the most (I guess this option should be greyed out if the option to display separate pictures / videos is not enabled). 2. Make the screensaver only play music when there are no videos playing at all (only when pla...

Re: Suggestions & a thing or two

Hi, thanks for using gPhotoShow Pro 1/ to be able to rotate an image (R for right, L for Left) and S for Save so images could be rotated and saved as rotated on the fly. This has been requested by several users, but there is a problem. Writing a jpeg without damaging exif/xmp/iptc tags is a really c...

Re: Occasional crash

Is it not possible to program the screensaver to ignore corrupt or "un-understandable" exif headers? And can gPhotoShow crash playing a video, even if it's set to play all videos via VLC? (I'm assuming they are set properly to play via VLC anyway...) gPhotoShow already check exif headers before usi...
