A Suggestion

I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out why my pictures weren't changing. I tried various things, but nothing worked. Then I discovered I'd made a goof by MOVING the two directories holding my photos to another location, not COPYING. In the main WS LT app, the two directories were st...

Re: A few pictures are stretched

Found the problem. Operator error. When I divided my images into six separate folders, I thought I had gone through them and selected each one, then set the dropdown to Centered. I missed one. It was set to "Fit to screen." My fault. Since there were only six images in the folder, and I ha...

Re: A few pictures are stretched

Sorry. Our posts crossed. The dropdown is (and always has been) set to Centered. This is why the "stretch=1" in the log is puzzling.

Re: A few pictures are stretched

What list are you talking about? My images are in two folders, both listed in the "Images Add/Remove" box. The individual files aren't listed there. I have nearly 4000 images. The Options--Default Position is set to Center. The WGS file doesn't seem to have that property anywhere for any o...

A few pictures are stretched

Still using this great program, Gianpaolo. I do have a question that's been puzzling me for a while. Some pictures, even though the rest are centered, will appear in stretched format. According to the log, the key: Stretch=0 is sometimes changed to Stretch=1. I can find no reason for this. The syste...

Re: Wallpaper SS LT not autostarting

I think I've got it running correctly now. I had to set the NVIDIA Display Container service to "Delayed Start" though. What may have been happening is Wallpaper SS was starting, then getting whacked by the NVIDIA driver taking over from the boot monitor drivers. Now, WSS starts, then the ...

Re: Wallpaper SS LT not autostarting

Hmm. Interesting. I'll remove the Admin permission and see what happens. When I first installed it, it ran just fine. But right after a system update, it stopped working as it should.

I'll report back.

Re: Wallpaper SS LT not autostarting

I can't imagine what. I've enabled it to run as an Admin, plus all the other measures I've taken. Yet, I still refuses to run automatically and has to be started manually every time I log in.

EDIT: And, according to the Task Scheduler, the "operation completed normally - 0x00 result."

Wallpaper SS LT not autostarting

Although I have the item checked, the program is not autostarting at system boot. I even created a task starting it when I logged on, but it will not run. What is strange, is that it sits in the Task manager, but consumes no CPU time, nor does the icon show on the taskbar. I have to stop the task, a...

Re: Huge flash at picture change

More oddities: I have two laptops and another desktop. All run Windows 7 of various flavors. Both laptops are 64-bit and the desktop is 32-bit. None of the other three exhibit this flashing, yet as near as I can determine, all screen/OS settings are the same for all four computers. Laptops are using...
