Re: Save to Registry - what is the exact path?
I would be looking for the .scr name, not a monitor name. If I edit a slideshow and select "Save to Registry", that same slideshow is over written when I edit the next one and also save it to the registry. That's why I thought that if I could edit the registry and give each of them a unique name, I ...

Save to Registry - what is the exact path?
I have another familiar issue with the slideshows getting moved around to different monitors, this time because I have a new TV. Apparently the new Samsungs send out the EDID info every time the TV is turned back on, and it's causing Windows to see a new monitor arrangement just about every time ...

Re: Why can't more than one monitor be excluded?
You're right, I forgot about the option to change the height. I had tried it earlier this year after you first suggested it, but I didn't like having the extra spacing at the bottom of monitors that don't have a taskbar. But now it's dawned on me that I only have to set the primary monitor at 1079 ...

Re: Why can't more than one monitor be excluded?
I don't understand what you mean with "restore the taskbar when the slideshow is running", can you explain ?
I keep my taskbar hidden and hover over it when I need to see it. IIRC, previous versions of GPS had issues with that and would block the taskbar from being visible. I believe that was ...

Re: Why can't more than one monitor be excluded?
Okay, that technically worked, but with that change I lost being able to restore the taskbar when the slideshow is running. When I switch back to using "All monitors except number:" I get that functionality back.
BTW, I should have noted earlier that it was difficult to identify my monitors in the ...

Re: Why can't more than one monitor be excluded?
I checked that already, and it displays settings for only 4 monitors, not 5. Since I can't confirm the numbering of those 4 match the 5 that I see when I click "Monitor ID", I'm not going to try messing with those settings. Check boxes would make this process much easier.

Why can't more than one monitor be excluded?
Is there a particular reason why only one monitor can be excluded from a slideshow? Could the UI and code be updated to display check boxes next to each monitor, allowing a user to either check the ones to display the slideshow on, or check the ones to exclude? My setup has a total of 5 monitors ...

Re: Monitor assignment changes when shutting TV off
To run multiple instances of gPhotoShow run regedit.exe, then go to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GPGSoftware\gPhotoShow\Settings
Create a new DWORD value:
NoSingleInstCheck = 1
This was mostly a hardware issue. After I swapped in another EliteDesk that had 3 OE DP connections, then ...

Re: Monitor assignment changes when shutting TV off
Thanks, I might give that a try. I'm pretty certain now though that it's a hardware issue, and will be trying a different USB video card over the weekend to see if that changes anything.

Re: Monitor assignment changes when shutting TV off
I edited the 3 slideshows and set them for custom layout. While the preview of each one worked, that setup broke my Powershell script, I assume because it relied on the monitor switch. Can multiple instances of the slideshows still be triggered with the script when using custom layout?
