Hello,

I have a list of photos in a network folder that the screen saver is pointed to. Everything works correctly accept when new images are added to the network folder or removed. It keeps displaying all the old images over and over. It is as though it does not re scan the folder for new stuff.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
make sure the following options are ticked:
File Options-> Enable Background files list synchronization
File Options-> Files list synchronization every:

then set the time for folder rescan.

Hello,

All options are checked. It runs the initial set of images, but if you remove or add images to the network folder it is pulling from, they never show up.

Hello,
consider that it's a network folder, it takes time to scan all folders and files, I mean several minutes, it depends on the amount of folder and files. If you use some of the exif related filtering or weights it could take ages...

It is one folder and has 9 images in it.
I will continue to play around with it.

Thanks for the reply.

Hello,
thanks for the log but I don't see any issue. Directory synchronization has been performed about 1 minute after gPhotoShow started and didn't find any new file.

Seems like when you preview within the software it works correctly. As soon as I package it up and create an install for it and install it on a machine, it remembers whatever images were in that path and they never update.

Is there a log somewhere for when the screen saver runs outside of the program?

Ok, now I understand. When you create a standalone screen saver all pictures are stored inside the executable, they don't scan configured folders anymore. This kind of screen saver has been designed for distribution of screen savers and slideshow so everything is embedded inside the executable.
