Pause between Video and Slide Show

Postby BrewsterK » Wed Oct 22, 2014 6:35 pm

I've successfully set up a screen saver slide show that also runs occasional videos of various lengths.

Works great, but there is a long pause at the end of each video with the screen showing the last frame of the video before it moves to the next slide.

I'm wondering if there is a setting that shortens this transition.

My present configuration specifies the same directory location for images and for videos, with a maximum length of video set at 120 seconds.

Hello,
normally gPhotoShow should detect when video is finished and it automatically skips to the next file (video or image). If this doesn't happen gPhotoShow waits for the maximum allowed play time (in your case 120 seconds). Which kind of video files are playing ? If they are mov files it is rather common to have problems since the QuickTime component behave rather badly when used from third party programs. You could try to install VLC Player and configure gPhotoShow to use it, usually it works much better.
