the number is the index in Images Folders list. For example, you if have 3 items:
c:\mypics_2021
c:\mypics_2022
c:\mypics_2023

I:DA,E0,E1
means, disable all. Enable c:\mypics_2021 and c:\mypics_2022 (item 0 and item 1)

There is no fixed limit, it depends on font size and pictures size. You could make the text smaller but then it will be difficult to read

I have since some days black screens and no slide show. But when I look at the bitmap, I can see that there should be pictures shown and also changed regulary. Any idea what the reason could be? Usually this happens when windows fails to change wallpaper, a computer restart usually fixes the issue

There are no traces from the plugin in the log. It seems the plugin was not enabled or the timeout was not reached. Since this plugin never had problems there are traces only when it triggers standby/monitor off. Are 100% sure the plugin is enabled and configured with 1 hour timeout ? Try with short...

If the plugin is enabled and configured it should work. Of course it will go to standby only when gPhotoShow is running and at least one hour elapsed.
It is also possible windows refuses to obey to gPhotoShow request for standby.
I can't guess what happens without an extended log from gPhotoShow.

unfortunately standalone screen savers can only display images embedded inside the executable. They can't display images downloaded from the web or stored on the computer where they are installed.
This is a design choice and will not change in future.
