Re: Shortcuts to Network Drive Files

I apologize for the delay, I didn't notice this topic. Since version 4 gPhotoShow Pro is able to perform a background directory scan, when this option is enabled it takes a long time to start only the first time. Following times it will will start using a cached list saved on hard disk in the meanwh...

Re: Random photos and videos

Make sure the option "Save files list between runs" is ticked in the "File Options" section of the gPhotoShow Pro configuration window. When this option is enabled gPhotoShow Pro never repeats images until all have been displayed, file names are removed from the list so it is not possible they are p...

Re: Different Folders for different screens

gPhotoShow has powerful filters and you really don't need a function to assign the content of a folder to a monitor. Take a look at the filters configuration, for each monitor you can set which kind of pictures to display. For example you can choose only vertically oriented pictures or pictures with...

Re: gPhotoShow 6 Observations

Also (separate observation) I've been forgetting to mention that the time displays without the 1st digit on my secondary monitor (1440x900) but displays fine on the primary TV (1920x1080). So 4:51 PM displays as ":51 PM", 10:30 AM would display as "0:30 AM". The time is displayed in the same way an...

Re: Screensaver no longer spans two monitors

Turns out it was because I had selected DirectX on the Transitions page. Generally gPhotoShow should be able to display a single image spanned on multiple monitors also when DirectX is used, but in this case it mostly depends on the version of windows, drivers and display adapter. Multi headed adap...

Re: Screensaver no longer spans two monitors

Check the settings in "Multiple Monitors" page and make sure that:
- "Display only on secondary monitor" is NOT ticked
- "Display method" is set to "Only one image spanned on all monitors"
- "Split screen" is NOT ticked

Re: Registered gPhotoShow v6.01 giving unregistered error

The most common cause of this issue is the configuration file, you must load and save it again with the registered version of gPhotoShow Pro. After the gss file is saves you can create the standalone screen saver and it should display the warning any longer. Another possible cause is the inability t...

Re: Enable Screen Saver - Immediately Disables

ControlSS icon only reflects the windows screen saver status, if it displays "disabled" it means that for some reason the windows screen saver is disabled and can't be started. There are several possible causes for this, first of all you should check the screen saver configuration, then if it isn't ...

Re: Wish List

gPhotoShow IS designed for windows 7, currently it's a 32 bit program but a 64 bit program wouldn't do any better. About running indefinitely, I don't know what the first poster was referring to, gPhotoShow does run indefinitely, it has no build in timeout. This would get the sales started  g...

Re: Recursive search

"Recursive search" means that files are searched also in all subfolders up to the specified level. For example if you have this folders tree: Image1.gif If you add the folder c:\pictures in gPhotoShow and don't set the recursive option it will only scan folder c:\pictures. If you set "recursive sear...
