Re: Black Screensaver

Yes, the reason is the deleted gss. The file should stay there for the time in which the screen saver is running, if it is deleted gPhotoShow display that message and some settings could be reverted to defaults.

Re: Help with relocating wallpaers and screenshots

gPhotoShow and Wallaper Slideshow can do what you need. Depending on your requirements you could need to purchase the Pro version since the Free versions have some obvious limitations.

Re: Auto rotate of photos?

Unfortunately gPhotoShow Free Edition is not able to rotate photos automatically since it lacks support for exif tags. gPhotoShow Pro can do it and much more.

Re: gPhotoShow Pro and Wallpaper Slideshow Pro

Of course you can use them together but by default WallpaperSS doesn't change wallpaper while the screen saver is running since usually you can't see it. If WallpaperSS never changes wallpaper probably it is not configured correctly.

Re: Unable to activate or configure screensaver

Hard to say what caused that issue. When using the commands "Start screen saver" and "Configure Screen Saver" WallpaperSS simply sends a message to windows which should do what the user requested. Both commands only works if there is configured screen saver and the "Start" command only works if the ...

Re: Black Screensaver

You are right, when running as logon screen saver gPhotoShow stores extracted files to the windows/temp folder. The gss file is loaded on startup then it can be deleted without problem but images should stay there. If gPhotoShow doesn't find them any longer it displayes a black screen. In the standa...

In addition the registry location for the settings is different and depends on windows version you are using. To create a log file it is better I send you a vers...

Standalone screen saver include everything inside the scr file, when a new file should be displayed it is extracted from the scr and copied to a temporary folder. When something goe...

Re: Gphotoshow crashes when HDMI device powers off

Hello, I am able to reproduce the issue, the crash is caused by the scrapbook code that fails when DirectX disconnects from the powered-off monitor. If you set gPhotoShow to use standard 2D transitions or turn off scrapbook gPhotoShow should not crash any longer. I will fix this problem within few d...
