Re: Sequential slideshow on dual (landscape/portrait) monitors
After more testing, I think I have discovered what is going on. The problem all stems from the seriously annoying "monitor misidentification" issue, which turns out to be more confusing than I first imagined: Even though I configured gPS, under "Multiple Monitors", to use "A...

Re: Sequential slideshow on dual (landscape/portrait) monitors
Thanks, as always, for your quick reply. 2) I will try to send you a private message with a view to setting up a Dropbox link -- so that you can access the same 10 test files that are indicating a problem. I reinstalled gPS as 32-bit, but it didn't make a difference, except portrait images are now (...

Re: Sequential slideshow on dual (landscape/portrait) monitors
Greetings - I guess I'm probably one of the first to upgrade to Version 8 (having purchased Version 7 around the beginning of 2017). We corresponded then about various issues, which were mostly resolved at that time. I have two monitors running (from a laptop) in landscape and portrait mode. I just ...

Gianpaolo - Speaking of Version 8:
Just wondering if you have a target date in mind (in 2019?) for release of Version 8? I'm still interested in the "independent monitor timing" feature you mentioned a couple of years ago. Keep up the great work.

Re: Feature Request: Log Filename
This useful function allows one to generate a list of image files "on the fly", and the resulting list is saved in a text file. The generic command line in the batch file is: echo %1 >>c:\temp\gps-list.txt As a variant of this, I have set it up to save the list in a .glst file, so that the...

Re: Sequential slideshow on dual (landscape/portrait) monitors
Build 918 seems to be working perfectly ... no error messages being generated now. Many thanks!

Re: Sequential slideshow on dual (landscape/portrait) monitors
1. Looking forward to update. It would still be nice to have the option to toggle the error messages on/off, if that's possible. 2. Panorama settings: something strange still going on. In gPhotoShow settings, the error message I get every time I try to replace an integer with a decimal is: "Una...

Re: Sequential slideshow on dual (landscape/portrait) monitors
Thanks, as always, for your feedback. Specifying the bmp extension appears to have resolved most of the issues in the couple of folders I've been using so far for test purposes. Some of the issues that still remain seem to be related to loading of panoramic images. Sometimes they don't load (causing...

Re: Sequential slideshow on dual (landscape/portrait) monitors
I'm not sure if my second post today submitted properly. If yes, ignore this message. Otherwise, I wrote to say the error message I was getting (not a bug) arose from a missing "Additional file extension". (My folder contained a bmp file that could not load. Once I added the bmp extension,...

Re: Sequential slideshow on dual (landscape/portrait) monitors
Thanks for your quick feedback ... much appreciated. First, the good news: as far as I can tell, the change you introduced in Build 917 fixes the problem with the specific images that were displaying incorrectly (portrait vs landscape). The two displays look AMAZING when all the images are filtered ...
