I'm going to take a look but I ask you the following question.
Is it possible to use gPhotoShow on the desktop without activating the screensaver?

I would like to be able to choose between different types of transition effects.
The current smooth effect is excellent but I think it would be very nice to have new animations.
If it is more resourceful, perhaps it can be clarified that it is something experimental.
What do you think?

I've been having this symptom for a while:
If I open the File Explorer and then an application (such as WinRAR or Whatsapp App) that are on top, when I change the wallpaper the File Explorer returns to the front automatically. Even while I'm typing something.

What a pity to know about that. Currently an interface with that feature has become very common along with Windows.
